Suzuka Nakamoto: A Rising Star from Hiroshima
From Jewel Drop to BABYMETAL: The Rise of Suzuka Nakamoto in Entertainment Industry
Suzuka's career started at a very young age when she won the Grand Prix in an image girl audition for the toy manufacturer Bandai's "Jewel Drop" at the age of four. This win opened doors for her, and by the time she was five, she had started modeling as an image girl. Her talent and hard work continued to shine, and in 2006, she won the Grand Prix at the 4th Alpark Scholarship Audition at the age of eight, which led her to enroll in Actors School Hiroshima (ASH).
But that's not all. In 2008, Suzuka joined the unit "Karen Girl's" and made her first attempt at voice acting in the anime program. After her successful stint, she ended her activities as a member of "Karen Girl's" in 2009, and in 2010, she started her activities as an original member of "Sakura Gakuin."
It was in 2010 that the metal dance unit BABYMETAL was formed under the name SU-METAL, with Suzuka as the vocalist and dancer. This unit was positioned as the "heavy music club" of Sakura Gakuin's club activities, and their unique sound and high-energy performances quickly gained them a massive following.
Suzuka Nakamoto's career may have started when she was just four years old, but her hard work, talent, and dedication have taken her to the top. With each new project, she continues to prove that she is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. We can't wait to see what she does next!
Suzuka Nakamoto's Rockstar Roots and Family Ties
Suzuka Nakamoto's love for music and performance may be in her genes, as her father was a former bassist in a rock band called "Hooligans." Even though he pursued a career in movies, he returned to his hometown of Hiroshima to take over the family business when his father fell ill. Interestingly, Suzuka's father bears a striking resemblance to her, indicating the strong genes that run in the family.
Born in Hiroshima City, Suzuka has two sisters, including the former Nogizaka46 member Himeka Nakamoto. Their father runs a construction-related company, and while their mother's profession is unknown, it's clear that the sisters have been performing since childhood.
In 2012, when Suzuka was in the third grade of junior high school, she and her sisters moved to Tokyo to pursue their dreams. It's no surprise that Suzuka's passion for music and performance led her to become the vocalist and dancer for the metal dance unit BABYMETAL, as well as a former member of "Karen Girl's" and "Sakura Gakuin."
It's clear that Suzuka Nakamoto's passion for music and performance runs in her family, and with her talent and dedication, she is sure to continue making waves in the entertainment industry for years to come.
In 2016, a reporter from Shukan Shincho interviewed Suzuka's grandfather, who fondly spoke of her and her father. The interview provides insight into Suzuka's personality and gives fans a glimpse into her family life.
"I never imagined my granddaughter would go this far. When she was young, she used to come over for dinner and sing a lot. Suzuka had already started modeling for Miki House and appearing in Bandai commercials since she was a baby. Even in kindergarten, she was modeling school bags at a local supermarket. When Himeka and Suzuka entered elementary school, they started taking singing and dance lessons at an actors' school run by a local TV station.
Suzuka's father had been in a band called "The Hooligans" since high school and was scouted to become a professional musician in Tokyo. He was in the band for about 10 years, and he even appeared in a movie once. However, after I had a heart attack, his brother convinced him to return to Hiroshima, and he started a construction business. That's when the grandkids were born.
Her parents didn't encourage Suzuka to become a singer, but singing runs in our family. Suzuka was the type of girl who would never change her mind once she set it on something. When she joined BABYMETAL, she said, "I'm going to conquer the world," even though she had no plans to go overseas. I can go see her in Tokyo, but lately she's been touring overseas."
